General Information

With the Culture Ampoule, you can inoculate your own substrate at home using Magic Mushroom cultures. Traditional spore prints and spore syringes have a higher risk of contamination and a lower chance of producing a successful mushroom harvest. The Culture Ampoule contains a live mushroom culture that can be inoculated directly into your substrate.

When refrigerated, the Culture Ampoule has a shelf life of approximately 6 months. Outside of refrigeration, its shelf life is limited.

Culture Ampoule Instructions

Step 1

Wash your hands thoroughly and clean the outside of the Culture Ampoule with a clean, damp cloth. We recommend using an alcohol wipe to eliminate any bacteria.

Step 2

The included syringe is supplied in sterile packaging. Make sure it does not become contaminated and only open it in a clean environment.

Step 3

Slightly loosen the cap of the Culture Ampoule so that a vacuum does not form while filling the syringe.

Step 4

Insert the needle through the rubber seal and draw the culture into the syringe.

Step 5

The syringe is now ready, and the culture can be injected into your chosen substrate. Allow it to grow at room temperature. Within a few days, the mycelium should become visible.

How It Works

Magic mushrooms contain the active compound psilocybin. In the body, psilocybin is converted into psilocin, a compound with hallucinogenic effects. Psilocin influences the brain’s serotonin system. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter involved in regulating mood, self-confidence, sleep, emotions, sexual activity, and appetite. Psilocin produces a distinctive effect on this serotonin system, resulting in the well-known psychedelic experience.
